The guimel (ג) is the number 3 in hebrew and is also a letter & it means: to ripen, to be weaned, camel, and recompense, repay or requie. 

One of it meanings is "to ripen" (גָּמַל) as in Numbers 17:23

Where it borne almonds.  Why Gamal (גָּמַל) ?. Because in hebrew the word gimel(גִּימֶל) comes from it´s root word gamal (גָּמַל), 

The guimel also means "to be weaned" as in Genesis 21:8

וַיִּגְדַּ֥ל הַיֶּ֖לֶד וַיִּגָּמַ֑ל וַיַּ֤עַשׂ אַבְרָהָם֙ מִשְׁתֶּ֣ה גָד֔וֹל בְּי֖וֹם הִגָּמֵ֥ל אֶת־יִצְחָֽק׃

The child grew up and was weaned, and Abraham held a great feast on the day that Isaac was weaned.

Another meaning for gimmel is "camel" as in  Genesis 24:64

It also means "to recompense, repay or requite" as in Genesis 50:15

וַיִּרְא֤וּ אֲחֵֽי־יוֹסֵף֙ כִּי־מֵ֣ת אֲבִיהֶ֔ם וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ ל֥וּ יִשְׂטְמֵ֖נוּ יוֹסֵ֑ף וְהָשֵׁ֤ב יָשִׁיב֙ לָ֔נוּ אֵ֚ת כָּל־הָ֣רָעָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר גָּמַ֖לְנוּ אֹתֽוֹ׃

When Joseph’s brothers saw that their father was dead, they said, “What if Joseph still bears a grudge against us and pays us back for all the wrong that we did him!” 

 

In the translation is not very clear, but in hebew wants to say, that for all the wrong that we recompense, repay or requite him.
